ES-SEPM continues to sponsor technical sessions at both NE and SE GSA Meetings.

NE GSA Meeting, 23-25 March 2014, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
For detailed information please see: http://www.geosociety.org/Sections/ne/2014mtg/index.htm

SE GSA Meeting, 10-11 April 2014, Blacksburg, Virginia.
For detailed information please see: http://www.geosociety.org/Sections/se/2014mtg/index.htm

This year, ES-SEPM Annual Reception will be at the NE GSA Meeting on Sunday, 23 March 2014, 5:30-7:00 PM with Global SEPM President-Elect Dr. Kitty Milliken (Senior Research Scientist, Bureau of Economic Geology, The University of Texas at Austin) as our Keynote Speaker:

"Why Look at Rocks? Sedimentary Petrography in the 21st Century"
What we see impacts what we think. New technologies for microscopic examination of sedimentary rocks have driven new thinking about controls on rock properties. Advances in imaging and analysis, many adapted from the silicon wafer industry, are at the center of an on-going revolution in our understanding of the nature and value of mud rocks.

Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served.
